Two Finishes for Charity

I stitched up these two pieces for Quilts for Older Children and Adults charity group.   These were both parts of SAL' s and will be made into quilts a that are donated to charity groups for fundraisers.

Most pieces that I stitch for Q4OCA are designated for individuals with debilitating or terminal illnesses.  I have been stitching for this group for many years and I truly love it.  For more info check out our Yahoo page or FB.   I forgot to get a picture of the finished butterfly, once it is posted for the group I will add a completed picture.  It really is beautiful with the DMC Color Variations floss.

Stitched With Love Exchange - Birds, Bees and Butterflies

Last month I participated in a Bird, Bees and Butterflies themed exchanges with the ladies on the  Stitched With Love Exchanges blog.  You could focus on one, two or all three creatures. I chose birds to send to Judith in Germany because I love Prairie Schooler Prairie Birds. It has always been one of my favorite pattern sources for birds and that is what I used for this exchange.  I threw in a few skeins of floss, some colorful felt, fabric, bird house note pad and note cards, metallic floss, needles, etc.

My package from Melanie in the UK was fabulous.  She chose to stitch up a lovely bird pillow (my DD adores it), sweet heart cushion, bee tape measure, butterfly buttons, fabric, beads, bird ribbon.  Just a super exchange!!
