SoCal Debbie UCJC Start #48, #49 and #50

I am getting so close to number 59, I thought I could hang on and go into March with Linda, but I am afraid I am running out of stash and I refuse to buy new at this time. Here are three more that I have started for this ultimately crazy and wonderful journey to remember SoCal Debbie. First is a freebie from Little House Needleworks Seven Pines, then there is Holiday Spirit from Samplebird Stitchery and a Hello Kitty freebie that I am stitching for the Quilts for Adults and Older Children charity group.  Sorry for the blurry photos, I took them in a hurry with my phone.

SoCal Debbie UCJC Starts #44, #45, and #46 and IHSW 2-15

I have three new Name Trees from M Designs (that is how I busted my SFS budget last month) to share with you.  Since they are presents for friends far away I will only show my photos of what I have stitched so far and not the pattern since showing the pattern would give away the surprise.  All are stitched on 14ct aida in varying shades of blue (all from my stash, yea me) using a complimentary darker blue floss.  Now that makes 6 names trees in my collection that I need to finish.   This also part of my IHSW hosted by Joysze.  If you want to learn more about IHSW click here.  I stitched on more, but this is all I am showing today.  Have to save some for tomorrow.

TUSAL Feb 2015

Okay, I am a few(actually 3) days late, but here it is my little jar of ORTs that will not be emptied until December.  I did remove the expired box tops and other miscellaneous trash before I took the photo.  Only threads, I promise.

SoCal Debbie UCJC Start #42

This little piece from Little House Needleworks is one of my favorites. It reminds me so much of my dear MIL, she loved birds and cardinals were her favorite. Such a dear lady I miss her terribly.

Turtle Trot - Feb

Time to show off my Turtle Trot, a SAL hosted by Claudette of  BAP Attack, who just happens to be on a quest to stitch all her stash.  That is just so crazy and so inspiring!!  I love it.

As usual I am a day late, but yesterday was a sad day for our family, but we tried to make it a day of celebration.  My dear MIL passed on 9 Nov and yesterday would have been her 74th birthday.  Hubby and I took the kids (she was the only grandparent) for dinner and ended the evening singing Happy Birthday to Granny with a bit of carrot cake.

So now on to my piece I have decided to concentrate on one piece, my BRD "Stop and Smell the Flowers" it really needs my attention and I am so close to finishing it.  I worked on some of the incomplete squares and a bit of the border.  Here is where I started.

Here is where I am at today.  I completed the block below "F" and  the block between the numbers 3 and 4. Added another row of border on the right as well.  Plan to stick with this one until it is done, done, done.

SoCal Debbie UCJC Starts 34, 35, and 36.

Hurray, I am caught up with my posts.  I am a bit sad today I had to turn a sweet stray pup over to the pound today.  Someone dumped it on our neighborhood and my efforts to find a new owner can up nil.  We already have two dogs and that is enough for out household, although if hubby would have said yes, she would be mine.  I just get too attached.  Surely her sweet personality will win someone over as she did me.

Here are the last of my PS SANTAS!!!  I do not have the 2014 Santa and I will not buy it until the 2015 Santa comes out later this year.  Tomorrow I will have something new to share.  How exciting.

SoCal Debbie Starts 31, 32 and 33

Another, extremely busy week for me.  School, church, stray dog, chess tournament, its all happening here.  Been up since 2:30am cooking and baking, hopefully I can get a nap in after my coffee social at school.  I missed the Stitching Smalls deadline for January.  I have a piece almost finished so I will show it off this month.  Here are three more Santas for you to enjoy.  You will notice that 2007 is missing, I stitched him up last year and I really do not like to stitch a pattern more than once.

SoCal Debbie UCJC Starts 28, 29 and 30!!

More PS Santas for you to enjoy.   In 2004, we were still stationed in the UK and we travelled to China to adopt our second daughter.  Our first was adopted in 2002.   The year of 2005 was busy, I retired from the Air Force in May, we moved to  Texas in June and we picked up our son in October from China.  In 2006, we hosted an exchange student from China and we took a family trip to Tennessee.

Whew, what a crazy week  I was so busy with events at my kiddos school that I had no time to blog even though I have lots to share.  Now it is time to catch up a bit.  My stitching is current but to keep me sane I am only posting three projects a day until I am caught up.  So here are a few more PS Santas for you -- I am almost finished with them.
