TUSAL Report June New Moon

Here it is, my little jar of orts a day or so late, but that is okay. I have been stitching bunches since school finished and I am enjoying every minute of it.  I plan to do lots of stitching and basket weaving over the 4th weekend since I am staying home this year. Little House Needleworks Update

Over the weekend I completed one LHN project (see post below) and I made progress on three others, Joy and Peace, Cardinal Winter and Winter Greens.  I have run out of DMC 221 for Joy and Peace, I hope I have some in my secret floss stash or with my PS Santa's.

LHN Winter Sampler

I have finished stitching Little House Needleworks, Winter Sampler from the December 2009 Just Cross Stitch.  I started this as part of my Crazy January Challenge on coffee dyed Monaco, but changed to natural because I did not like the contrast of the coffee color and the floss.

Baskets

The month of May is always a busy time for me, lots of end of school year activities, Book Fair, Field Day, Sock Hop, award ceremonies, 6th grade graduation, Teacher Appreciation.  Since October 2013 I have been making baskets for the end of year teacher gifts, six of the baskets I finished last week.  I gave away a total of 14 hand woven items.  Two had custom engraving to make them extra special.   If you want to know more about the baskets just leave me a comment.

June Turtle Trot

I finally have a stitching update, at least for the Turtle Trot.  Here is an update of my BBD Stop and Smell the flowers.  I have made great progress.  Now that the kids are out of school, I hope to have more time to stitch.  Tomorrow I am going to post pictures of the teacher gifts I made for the last day of school.  I made baskets--that was a lot of work.
