Stitching Pattern Swap and Gift

Last week I received a lovely package from Justine.  She and I have become cyber-friends that love cross stitch.  I was admiring one of her Lizzy Kate starts for the new year and she offered to swap patterns.  I now the proud owner of Lizzy Kate's " Not All of Us".  She also sent me some fabulous chocolate, warm drinks, and February Cross Stitcher magazine. 

I will be sending her my Country Cottage Needleworks "Ladybugs and Bumble Bees" along with a few goodies from North Texas. 

Please pray we get rain in Texas, the drought is horrible and they are going to start cloud seeding next week.

IHSW and LHN Finish

I participated in my first ever hermit weekend.  I managed to stitch a bit more than usual since hubby had to work over the weekend. Another finished piece to check off my lists, CJC 2014 finish #6 and Little House Needleworks SAL finish #1. This will one day be an ornament for my Christmas tree.

Small Train Finished

My fifth finish for 2014 and my fourth CJC 2014 finish is a small train. This little piece will be incorporated into a lap quilt for a small boy with debilitating illnesses. My next project for Q4OCA is a Heart SAL, we do one a Heart SAL a year in the group.

February Turtle Trot

After almost 6 years of working on this little gem I can finally say it is finished.  My 2007 PS Santa is done.  I am so happy to have this little guy listed in the "Stitching Finished" pile.  Thanks Turtle Trot for your inspiration and for keeping me on a schedule.  Not the best picture, but you get the point--he is finished.

Kitty Love Finished

Here is Kitty Love. I stitched this up as part of a stitch-a-long for Q4OAC. There are several photos posted on the Yahoo Group in all different colors that I believe will be used for a quilt that will be auctioned to raise money for an animal shelter. All the pieces are stitched with three colors from the same color family on cream colored, 14ct aida that were provided by the group host. All three colors had to be used, I just chose which color to use for the cat, border and hearts.

Dragonfly Baby Finished

Earlier this week I finished EMS Designs Dragonfly Baby and mailed it off to Pennsylvania to be added to a quilt for young girl with severe illnesses that essentially make her home bound. This is my second finish for CJC 2014.  WooHoo!!!
